The City of Caronia's situated on the gentle Nebrodi mountains, similar to a white crown, Caronia extends from the mountains to the sea.

Located between the City of Sant'Agata Militello and Capizzi, with its 226 square kilometers and boasts the most extensive forest area of the province of Messina.

Characteristics of plant formations and various endemic species of great natural value and scientific plenty of sleep in the territory of Caronia, therefore become a source of attention from scholars of flora and fauna.

Within the woods is not uncommon to see small settlements, which in most cases they work on-site activities of farming, pastoralism, agriculture and not least the extraction of the cork oak trees that produce the notes.

Caronia has 3592 inhabitants, known as "Caronesi." The historical origins date back to the eighth century BC where the site with the name of Kale Akte (beautiful coast) brought together the first settlement.

It seems that later in the year 1000 AD the city has been destroyed by the Saracens and immediately rebuilt as the Caronia.

Today this wonderful city, points to the economic development that touches all activities starting from the sea and the mountains stretch as far.

Ma ancora più vasti ed importanti dovevano essere i suoi boschi in passato se da essi ha preso il nome tutta la catena dei Nebrodi, che infatti è nota anche come “Caronie”.Ha 20 Km di spiaggia ed un altitudine di 304 m s.l.m.

 - Autostrada Palermo messina A20: da Palermo uscita S.stefano di Camastra, proseguire per la SS.113 seguire le indicazioni stradali fino al bivio di Caronia, dal bivio Caronia dista circa 4 Km.
